Religious beliefs exploration!

For our R.E. lesson this afternoon, Year 5 Juniper and Pine went outside exploring to find reasons that people may believe in God and reasons people may not. The children came up with some fantastic explanations and reasoning for their discoveries. Formulation Experiment!

This afternoon, Year 5 Juniper and Pine carried out an experiment in their Science lesson. We have been carrying out a topic called ‘Separating Mixtures’ and have most recently learnt about what formulations are, how they are made and how they can be useful. Artistic Skills!

Today, Year 5 Juniper learnt about an artist called Chila Kumari Singh Burman. We learnt a lot about her style of art and her inspirations to create her artwork. Music Masterclass!

Today, Year 5 Juniper and Pine took part in a music masterclass with Miss Fisher. The children warmed up together by singing songs and dancing the relevant actions. The classes then split into smaller groups and travelled round different stations. They were able to use the iPads and headphones to compose their own pieces of music, go on the glockenspiels to improvise to create music, and finally work on their notation by assessing musical notes Read more

Forest school!

Last week, year 1 Oaks enjoyed their first Forest School session! They were absolutely brilliant. So brilliant in fact they received an award for Miss Brown for being so amazing and respectful. The children enjoyed catching bugs, becoming explorers, mark making using rubbings from the trees, enjoyed group games and lots of safe climbing!
