Electrical systems

This half term Year 5 will be investigating electrical systems and creating their own ‘doodlers’. Ash Shared Learning

A big thank you to all the parents and family members who joined us for our shared learning session! We began by exploring our Skills Builder and discussing how these skills connect to our lessons and a variety of careers. Next, we turned into detectives, searching for clues to answer quiz questions about the different parts of the body. Firework messy play

Today we celebrated bonfire night. We learnt about bonfire night traditions and how to be safe around fireworks. We enjoyed getting messy in our firework tuff tray. We explored the explosions of powder paint and foam and created patterns using paint brushes and other tools.

Swimming Lessons

Year 4 are making so much progress in their swimming lessons at Heywood Sports Village. More certificates have been awarded today with children achieving their Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4. We are really impressed with how well they are doing. Keep it up!

Live Poetry Lesson

As part of The Linking Project, Year 4 were invited to join a live poetry lesson with other schools from around the UK. It was led by a poet called Joseph Coelho and during the session, we thought about the questions, ‘Who am I?’ and ‘Who are we?’, with Joseph sharing his thoughts and writing with us.    

Dojo Treat!

This morning, Year 1 have throughly enjoyed their Dojo Treat morning for having such a brilliant first half term. The children enjoyed a carousel of activities relating to  their they have completed this half term. Well done to all children!
