European Day of Languages

We have had a fun day celebrating European day of languages. We came to school wearing red, white and blue then started the day by eating delicious croissants while listening to French music. We have been learning how to say hello and hi in French and took part in a traditional French dance lesson too.  

Year 3 Birch – European Day of Languages

The children had so much fun today learning about different languages. We played a game where they had to guess where the language was from – lots of children knew many flags (the clue to the answer was a flag!) They also really enjoyed the special dance lesson, taught by a lady who specialises in dance – this was linked to languages. European Languages Day

Today we celebrated European Day of Languages. We started our day off by coming into school dressed in the colours of the French flag, and enjoyed a tasty breakfast of French croissants and brioche. Today we have celebrated European language day by dressing in red, white or blue. enjoying a French breakfast treat and completed activities around different languages. we ended the day with a European dance workshop. some of our children have said “it was a great day!” “Can we have croissants ever Friday” “I want yo work abroad when I grow up”
