The history of the wheel

The children enjoyed their first history lesson this half term. We talked about transport and the children sorted transport into different groups. Kids meet- digital leaders

The Digital leader had a fantastic opportunity to explore how to merge Computing, Design Technology and Science in an extremely fun and creative way. After learning how to connect the microcontroller by creating an electric circuit, the children then wrote programs using the free software (a block based language, similar to Scratch), which enabled them to work with a range of input and output devices, including switches, buzzers, LED lights, light sensors and motors. First Aid

Juniper have been discussing First Aid and its importance this afternoon. All the children were extremely knowledgeable about what to do in an emergency situation. We looked closely at how to help someone who was unresponsive and breathing/not breathing. There were some very sensible suggestions and we all now have a checklist to work our way through in such a situation. Well done everyone!
