This half term, Year 6 are investigating prayer as meditation.

 

To start our topic, the children took part in a series of guided meditations and then discussed the impact and effect they had on themselves, and how they felt they would impact on others.

 

After much relaxation (and some snoring) the children came up with some incredibly thoughtful and mature ideas to support the use of guided meditation. The class agreed on the positives of meditation and requested that we make it a regular part of our timetable. It was great to see the impact it had on their learning and also themselves.
