Year 6 took part in a SCARF workshop focusing on mental health and well-being. Within the session the children focused on resilience, positive affirmations and how looked at different strategies to support them if they are feeling worried.
Year 6 participiated in sports day last week. We had so much fun moving around the different stations and then competing in races. Well done all.
Year 6 looked at how Amazon organise the logistics of delivering so many items to everyone around the world. We looked at the software and hardware involved, as well as the engineers, computer scientists and programmers that help it all run smoothly.

The Year 6 Rowan children took part in a basic first aid lesson during PSHE. We discussed first aid situations and incidents, along with the treatment they should receive. We then had a practical session where we were able to put our knowledge into practice to treat our patients!
This week in ART Year 6 have commenced and new topic called Craft and design. Our first lesson was focusing on Photomontage. In preparation for SATs, Year 6 Rowan have been outside completing a scavenger hunt on fractions of amounts. They worked in groups and worked very well with each other. Well done.
This year, the Spelling Bee competition was ran for all schools within Rochdale to participate. A clear winner from both Year 6 classes and the one Year 5 class was Kelton. He then went to the semi-final to represent St Luke’s. Kelton progressed onto the final and today he competed Read more…
