The children came into school this morning and prepared for a busy day ahead by quietly reading. The classroom atmosphere was calm and relaxed. There was some beautiful examples of concentration from the children and after reading the children were set up ready for the day!

This afternoon Maple visited Heywood library. All the children were really eager to get to the library and choose a book. Maple have been investigating the digestive system this afternoon. Everyone was treated to a demonstration using bananas, biscuits, cola and a pair of tights, by Mrs Grindrod. There were many laughs and giggles but we are now all fully fledged experts in the digestive system!
Maple have had an amazing time at the dentist today. We’ve learnt about different tooth types and their functions. The children came up with some fantastic actions to remember what each tooth type does. Then it was off to the dentist…making some brilliant moulds of teeth and labelling them!
