Learning for Life – What’s the story?

In our Learning for life lesson today, children were given the opportunity to gather information about vaping from recent publications such as newspapers, journals and the internet. Great Science Share

Year 1 took part in the ‘Great Science Share’. We had to investigate the question, ‘Which solution makes the best bubble?’ We made our own bubble wands and tested a solution with a little bit of washing up liquid in it and then a solution with a lot of washing up liquid in it. We found that the solution with more washing up liquid in it made better bubbles.    

A Day at The Beach

Juniper had a fantastic day at Lytham St Anne’s Beach School yesterday. The weather was glorious and the children were so well-behaved. The children learnt about the wildlife that lives on the beach and in the sea around Lytham St Anne’s. They learnt about the tide and how waves play a big part in this. Building Bridges

This week has been the big science share. Reception were challenged to build strong bridges for the Billy Goat’s Gruff goats. Whilst playing outside, the children have built their bridges using different resources such as the big wooden blocks, crates, wooden planks, chairs and the foam bricks. Some of the children decided to test their bridges by standing on them!
