Learning for Life – ‘risk taking’

In our Learning for Life lesson today, children were able to identify the risk factors in a given situation and consider the outcomes of risk taking in the situation. Number day

Year 4 had lots of fun today completing lots of number challenges. We really enjoyed answering maths quiz questions to find out where hidden parts of a key were hiding around our classroom. Once we found all the parts Buddy was able to come into our classroom. We also enjoyed playing maths board games and ‘crack the code.’ This afternoon we really enjoyed going outside and taking part in some Teach active multiplication games.   Read more

NSPCC Fundraiser

A group of children from Juniper have been busy over the past 2 weeks planning some fundraising activities to raise money for the NSPCC. They’ve worked really hard to come up with some maths related games for all the children in key stage 2 to take part in. This breaktime and lunchtime they ran their activities, at 20p a go, to raise money. A big well done to them all! In total they raised £61.40.

Year 5 Number Fun Day

Year 5 have had a brilliant day carrying out lots of activities related to Maths, while raising money for the NSPCC. We began the day by trying to answer some of Jonny Ball’s maths questions. NSPCC Number Day Fun in Year 2

Today, the whole school celebrated NSPCC Number day by coming to school dressed as numbers and bringing a donation for the NSPCC. We also took part in numerous maths games and activities throughout the day including board games, colourings and numerous active games that also helped us to practise addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, doubles, halves, patterns, problem solving and much more!
