Violin performance

Year 6 have been working extremely hard throughout Autumn 2, learning an incredible 10 songs on the violin. The children were absolutely fantastic at learning the different pieces, I’m sure parents will agree that their violin skills were super.

Who do I trust?

Last week, year 6 looked and discussed the term ‘trust’. We looked at the story of Jesus walking on water and this meant he trusted God and how his disciples trusted him. We then discussed who we trust and why or what we trust and why. Then, we drew around our hand and listed who we trusted. Well done year 6.

Forest school -Trust

We have been having lots of fun in forest school this week. We talked about our senses and went into the wild forest. We closed our eyes and thought about what we could hear in the forest. Musical notes

On Wednesday afternoon, Juniper enjoyed listening to a song called Make You Feel My Love, originally by Bob Dylan and then re-recorded by Adele. They learnt some of the lyrics and had a go at singing along. In addition to this, they also played some notes from the song on the glockenspiel. Each week they will be learning more notes, until hopefully they can play the whole tune. Watch this space!

Forgiveness. Can Bible stories of lost and found help people today?

Today, we looked at Bible stories about forgiveness and reconciliation. We looked at the lost son, the lost sheep, the lost coin and the unforgiving servant. We discussed what the stories meant and how we can use Jesus’ teachings of forgiveness in our lives today. We then reflected and asked when and why we need forgiveness and why it can be hard to forgive others when we are wronged. After that, we looked at Jesus Read more

The children agreed on a team logo and used mud to paint their logo. This week the theme was lost and found. In pairs, Read more
