Rosa Parks Pop Art

As part of our Civil Rights topic, Year 6 looked at examples of artwork that promotes diversity and equality. After discussing different pieces, we decided to recreate Pop Art portraits of Rosa Parks. We used watercolours for the portrait and oil pastels to blend colours for a vibrant background.

This week, Year have been creating art work for the hall display. Habitats

We have been learning a lot about our new science topic ‘Habitats’. Our science expert Brody is always sharing lots of interesting facts about animals so he was the first to wear our class lab coat.  Each week the child that impressed in science will get the chance to wear the lab coat too. Being Creative at Forest School

This week at Forest School, Year 5 discussed things we may have done wrong in the past and how we moved on from them. The children discussed how sometimes they have arguments with people and say things that they don’t mean and then feel sorry afterwards. Buttery biscuits!

This afternoon we have been tasting and making biscuits! We began by evaluating 6 different types of biscuit according to their: taste smell texture appearance packaging target audience We then followed a basic biscuit-making recipe. We used techniques such as creaming, sieving and rubbing to combine all of the ingredients. Enjoy looking at the photographs of our hard work!

Trust Art

Year 5 were excited to create art work for a whole school competition this afternoon. For the competition, each year group has been given one of our Christian values to focus their art work on- the winning art from each year group will be displayed in our new entrance.
