During the Spring term, Year 6 have been studying the history of civil rights and civil rights movements in America, in particular from 1950 onwards. This half term our Design and Technology Topic is ‘Fruits and Vegetables’. This afternoon, Willows have had fun sorting fruits and vegetables in to the correct categories. As part of World Book Day we celebrations, Year 2 looked at learning, writing and performing poetry. We also shared a story with ‘Dermot O”Leary’ and designed front covers of our favourite book. This week Year 5 have been celebrating World Book day. We have dressed up as Book characters, took part in a live lesson, wrote book reviews, designed a new book cover for a book we have enjoyed, made book marks, completed mindful colouring of some inspiring quotes from books, and studied, learnt and performed the poem ‘Malfeasance’. The children looked fantastic in their costumes and did really well in their poetry performance.
