Internet Safety Day
Today we have been recapping on how to stay safe online. From making sure we have secure passwords to not sharing our personal detail with strangers. Year 3 were able to create a presentation to share with their peers to spread the message of internet safety.

This afternoon in art, Maple have been discussing the painting ‘Children’s Games’ by Pieter Bruegel, created in 1560. We looked very closely at the painting to see what sort of games children played all that time ago. We then went outside to recreate some of the games ourselves!

This afternoon, we have been learning about floating and sinking. We have completed an experiment to see if objects float or sink. He was a American Photographer who focused on details images of various items such as fruits, vegetables and landscapes. Through drama and demonstrations today Year 6 discussed and explored how heat is conducted through solids, liquids and gases. The children discussed how the particles vibrate much quicker when heated; how they collide into each other; how vibrations are passed through each particle until thermal equilibrium is reached. Improving our sentences
Year 6 have been working extremely hard to produce some excellent work in our English lessons. During our grammar session today, we looked at different ways in which we can improve a very simple sentence. Spreadsheets
Maple have been working on producing spreadsheets on their laptops this afternoon. We inputted some data and used to 2calulate to produce some line graphs and bar charts. We used the graphs to answer questions about the data.

The Evil Pea
That cheeky Evil Pea has been up to no good again! When we arrived at school we had some letters from our friends. They had seen the Evil Pea in our local shops and when we got to school all of our carrots were frozen! It was our job to save our carrots and keep that Evil Pea away. We hope the Evil Pea does not come back next week!
