This morning we have had lots of fun reasoning and problem solving at the Funmaths Roadshow. We worked our way around the activities with our partner and helped each other answer the questions.

Today we went for a walk around Queen’s park to look at the trees and flowers in our local area. We found bluebells, buttercups, daffodils, tulips and many more! We really enjoyed our walk.
Today in Oaks we have been discussing our similarities and differences and how they make us special! We have celebrated our differences and told other members of the class what we really like about them.
This morning, year 4 enjoyed visiting the park to experience the atmosphere of the opening scenes of Macbeth. We did this by imagining the sounds that Macbeth and Banquo might have heard as they travelled back to camp. This afternoon we have been thinking about what makes us special and why we should all be proud of ourselves.
Inspired by the memory of Stephen Lawrence, Year 6 looked at the facts around an issue that has unfortunately become more prominent in recent months: the rise in knife crime. We finished our Beat, band, boogie topic with a BANG! We used recycled material to create some excellent musical instruments.
We have been working hard this half term to research different educational apps. We asked children in school which different apps they like to use. From this we then downloaded 3 different ones. We practising using these apps then we held a lunch time club where we asked different children to give them a try to see whether they liked them. This week year 3 and 4 performed their Easter Concert. They re-told the Easter story through acting, songs, bible readings and movement. What a fantastic performance it was and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Well done to all those who took part, every one of you were amazing and all the year 3 and 4 staff are extremely proud of you. This week in Reception, we have been receiving challenges from the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny has left challenges in the outdoor area for us each day and we have been able to complete them.
