We are going on a treasure hunt!

This afternoon, in Reception, we have been going on treasure hunts! Miss Robinson had found a treasure map so she took her friends with her to find treasure. This half term we have been reading the book friend or foe. The story is about two boys, who are evacuated from London in world war 2. To help improve our writing, children experienced what it would be like to be a child during world war 2. What is blood and is it all the same?

Year 6 have looked at what makes up our blood, how are blood groups different and how scientist investigate blood.   First of all, we looked at how we could be blood donars. We calculated how we inherit our blood type, who we could donate blood to, and who could donate blood to us. Product designers

This week we have been using all the knowledge we have gained throughout our topic ‘Scrumdidlyumptious’. We worked as a group to design our own new healthy snack bar. This included giving it a name, deciding on ingredients, designing the packaging, creating a slogan, pricing including profit, creating and performing an advert and finally making and taste testing.

Changes in our pulse

Year 6 looked at how and why our pulse changes. We wrote a hypothesis as to why our pulse may increase and decrease and what we thought we could do to help change this.
