Black History Month in Year 5

October is Black History Month in the Uk. Today we learnt about why Black History is celebrated, and about significant people within black history, including Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Mary Seacole, Barack Obama and George Washington Cava. We then created our own fact files.

#HelloYellow

For World Mental Health day we took part in #HelloYellow. The children looked great wearing yellow: We took part in lots of fun activities: mindfulness colouring, story meditation, funny videos of ‘talking animals’ and we made silly photographs using selfie props.  

Mental health Day
