Year 6 have started a new topic in science ‘energy’. We started the new topic by discussing key vocabulary, exploring energy and looking at the different energy stores, then we conducted an investigation with elastic bands. During forest school, year 6 have been making rafts. Today we went down to the river at Queen’s Park to race our rafts. We had lots of fun and the children worked very well in their teams.
Children in year 6 worked in groups and pairs to complete a number hunt, focusing on adding and subtracting decimals from TeachActive. They worked very well as a team and did not stop running. Well done year 6.
