Year 3 Birch Computing & Spreadsheets
We used Purple Mash Spreadsheets to input data and then use the tools to make our data show us which numbers are more than, less than or equal to one another.
Year 3 Birch Christingle Fun!
We loved learning about Christingle and the services we have at this time of year. We made Christingles to take home using oranges, fruits, sweets, red ribbon and a candle. We enjoyed learning about what each part of the Christingle represents.
Christingles
We made our own Christingles in class together. We thought about what each part means and what it represents. We then wrote some prayers and coloured in some Christingle pictures.
Shape
We have had a lots of fun this week learning about 2D and 3D shapes. To help learn the different properties we drew around 2D shapes using different colours. We then looked at how many vertices 2D shapes have by using string to make each shape and how many fingers it took to make the vertices. We have also been trying to drawing 2D shapes accurately using a ruler.
Forest School Fun
This week in Forest School, Snowdrops made a fire with the support of an adult. They were shown how to use a fire starter and taught how to be safe around the fire. The children loved sitting around the fire, singing our nativity songs and roasting marshmallows! All of the children had a fantastic time and expressed how yummy the s’mores were. Well done Snowdrops
Christingle Celebration
Juniper have been to church this morning for their Christingle celebration. They were all absolutely amazing! Fantastic singing and actions during our performance and they were all a credit to the school. Well done everyone!
