Shape

We have had a lots of fun this week learning about 2D and 3D shapes. To help learn the different properties we drew around 2D shapes using different colours. We then looked at how many vertices 2D shapes have by using string to make each shape and how many fingers it took to make the vertices. We have also been trying to drawing 2D shapes accurately using a ruler.

Forest School Fun

This week in Forest School, Snowdrops made a fire with the support of an adult. They were shown how to use a fire starter and taught how to be safe around the fire. The children loved sitting around the fire, singing our nativity songs and roasting marshmallows! All of the children had a fantastic time and expressed how yummy the s’mores were. Well done Snowdrops

Generosity

This week in RE Year 5 have been discussing what it means to be generous. We listened to the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus and discussed how Jesus was able to turn Zacchaeus into a generous person. The children discussed how generosity isn’t just amount how much money a person can give but is also about time, kindness, love etc. The children then created their own posters showing what generosity means to them.
