Cenotaph Visit

Year 6 took our school poppy wreath to Heywood Cenotaph this morning. We had the chance to share a poem and a prayer, observe a moment of silence and explore the grounds and monuments to better understand the stories behind Remembrance Day and those who lost their lives during conflicts around the world.

Electrical systems

This half term Year 5 will be investigating electrical systems and creating their own ‘doodlers’. Firework messy play

Today we celebrated bonfire night. We learnt about bonfire night traditions and how to be safe around fireworks. We enjoyed getting messy in our firework tuff tray. We explored the explosions of powder paint and foam and created patterns using paint brushes and other tools.

Swimming Lessons

Year 4 are making so much progress in their swimming lessons at Heywood Sports Village. More certificates have been awarded today with children achieving their Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4. We are really impressed with how well they are doing. Keep it up!
