Year 4 had a fantastic time today on their school trip. They went to Deva Musuem to learn how to become a Roman legionarie and then travelled back in time to live the life of a Roman in the barracks. Here are some clips of our amazing adventure.
Last Year, children from Year 6 worked together with other schools in Heywood to create paintings showing Heywood. Today, children from year 5 went to the One Riverside to represent St Luke’s Primary school to see the fantastic art work on display in the Library. We have been showing off our creative skills this week by drawing beach huts, light houses and gardens.
We have created some beach huts by following a video then using waterpaints to bring our art work to life.
Year 5 have had a great afternoon building the rainforest shelters they have been designing. Everyone worked really well with their partner, thinking about their design features and changing them where necessary to make sure their shelter was sturdy and protective. Great work Year 5!
The school choir enjoyed a morning of dancing, singing and musical instrument playing at the Town Hall. They also sang 2 songs of their own to a very appreciative audience. The children were a real credit to the school and so well behaved. Well done children!
Albert has been busy all weekend, learning lots of different french phrases. Make sure to ask Albert some french questions when he gets back to school.
Albert (our school’s bear) has jetted off to sunny Carcassonne. He has taken Miss Fisher and Miss Robinson with him to help them learn French. Keep posted for more updates and pictures of Albert’s adventure.
Wow, what a fantastic week! The children have worked sooooooooo hard but all their hard work has paid off & they have done so well on their SATs. They should be very proud 😎 As promised we finished the week with a fun Friday.
