This week was our last week for Cookery Club so we’ve ended with a Christmas Rocky Road. This was really easy and lots of fun to make and of course tasted delicious. The children enjoyed sampling the sweets and chocolates whilst they were making the rocky road too.

This week in cookery club we made chicken fajitas. We learnt about food hygiene and the importance of hand washing when working with raw meat. We also learnt knife skills and practised our cutting. The fajitas were delicious!
Children loved foraging for their materials to create their wreaths. They loved designing how they will lay it out and how many berries they want to put on. Well done everyone!
This afternoon, Snowdrops have had such a lovely time working with Year 6 in their classrooms. We shared a story called ‘Come over to my house’ by Dr Seuss. We talked about how all of the houses in the story were very different to each other, just like our own Read more…
This week in cookery club we made cheese and ham toasties. The children followed the recipe and built their sandwich before using the toastie machine to toast them. The smell coming from the classroom led to lots of hungry teachers wanting a toastie for tea.
This week the children requested that we make Rice Krispie cakes. We decided to give them a bonfire theme using buttercream icing and broken matchmakers. The children made the buttercream from scratch using butter and icing sugar and added orange food colouring to give us the fire effect. The end Read more…
This week in design technology we met ‘the Doodlers’. The Doodlers are fun robots powered by an electrical circuit and a motor.
