LGBT+ History Month- Science and Innovation

During our LGBT+ History Month collective worship, we learned about the theme of science and innovation and why it is important to recognise the contributions of LGBT+ people throughout history. Promoting self- efficacy

In our recent collective worship assembly, we focused on the theme of self-efficacy and the importance of believing in ourselves. In our science lesson today, Year 5 Juniper were looking at time. We have been looking at the Earth and Space this half term and have already looked into day and night, but today we delved further to find out how we tell the time. Predators and preys

Today we became predators and preys! Some of us were snowshoe hares. We were safe in our burrows but we had to leave to gather food if we were captured by a lynx we were unfortunately out. National story telling week

On Tuesday, we had the amazing opportunity to take part in a virtual workshop called “Soundtrack Your Story” with the inspiring Alim Kamara. Year 5 Juniper Shared Learning

Thank you to all of the parents, guardians and family members that came to join Year 5 Juniper today, Tuesday 3rd February 2026. The children really enjoyed sharing all the information with their adults about our current Geography topic on Biomes. They were able to work together to create their own biome in the form of art, incorporating the appropriate plants and animals from their chosen biome. The art pieces turned out brilliantly. National Storytelling Week

Today, Year 5 Pine took part in a live online workshop to celebrate National Storytelling week. The children used the medium of rap (rhythm and poetry) to explore storytelling. They were inspired by Alim Kamara and created their own raps celebrating their ‘superpowers’. Well done Year 5!
