Viking Day

Maple have spent this half term learning about ‘Raiders and Traders’. They have thoroughly enjoyed our Viking Day today. We began by making some Viking oatcakes, which we enjoyed later on in the day while watching our Viking Tale show. We also made some Viking jewellery, writing our names using the Viking alphabet. Most of us got really messy using clay to sculpt Thor’s hammer! Mrs Grindrod and Mrs King even dressed up as Viking Read more

Our heroes

This week we have been celebrating England coming second in the Euros, which was a massive achievement. They played so hard and would have been under extreme pressure. In class the children wanted to show their support to these players and help Read more

The day was fun filled and action packed from start to finish and the children’s behaviour was exemplary. In the afternoon we watched a show, Viking Tale, from the Hobgoblin Theatre Company which the children thoroughly enjoyed. What an experience.

Travelling Science Show

Today Year 3 had Adrian Bowden visit school with his travelling science show. We spent the morning watching the ‘Light and Sound’ show and this afternoon we watched ‘Marvellous Materials’. It was really fun and we got to take part and help him with the different investigations.

Should we care for everyone?

In RE we have been looking at how we need to respect and look after everyone. After a discussion we went outside then used chalk to draw around each other. We then added words to explain how we are all unique and valuable. We discussed how we are unique as we all have different hair colour, eye colour, skin colour. On the inside on our bodies we added words like kind words, caring hearts, loving Read more
