Yesterday, our lesson started with discussions about the vandalism of the Marcus Rashford mural in Manchester and the disgraceful racist abuse Rashford, Saka and Sancho have received online after England’s defeat. This week we have been celebrating England coming second in the Euros, which was a massive achievement. They played so hard and would have been under extreme pressure. Today we’ve had a fantastic day. The day started with Sublime science show, we got to make sweets and slime and got to watch lots of fun science experiments. This afternoon we then had a party to celebrate England making it to the finals. We played corners, musical statues, made some England cakes, designed a football kit and had lots of delicious party food.
Today we had lots of fun celebrating England getting to the final of the Euros. We designed and decorated our gingerbread men in football kits, completed football themed activities, ate party food and played football (in the rain!).
This afternoon we have had our Euros 2020 party. We made flags, played lots of games and had delicious party food! We also talked about the game last night and how we reacted to the penalties.
Year 4 had an amazing Viking experience day making jewellery, shields, Thor’s hammer and Viking Oatcakes. The day was fun filled and action packed from start to finish and the children’s behaviour was exemplary. In the afternoon we watched a show, Viking Tale, from the Hobgoblin Theatre Company which the children thoroughly enjoyed. What an experience.
Today Year 3 had Adrian Bowden visit school with his travelling science show. We spent the morning watching the ‘Light and Sound’ show and this afternoon we watched ‘Marvellous Materials’. It was really fun and we got to take part and help him with the different investigations.
