This week in Reception, we have been beginning to celebrate Christmas. We have been really busy decorating our classroom. Maple have enjoyed their PE lesson this week with a Cricket coach. They have learnt some new throwing and catching skills and are becoming familiar with the rules of Cricket. Fantastic job Maple!
Fun filled night watching the film Christmas Chronicles one. We really enjoyed our popcorn and hot chocolate, yum yum!
In today’s History lesson we learnt about Stonehenge. We talked about the history of the monument and the names of the different parts of it. We then tried to create the different parts using biscuits to represent the stones. We made the outer circle, the bluestones and the horseshoe.
The children in Key Stage one and two have all worked hard creating some fantastic artwork. Each class created a piece of the nativity story. Year one painted animals for the stable. We had lots of fun last night at our Year 3 Christmas movie night. We watched the film Nativity, drank hot chocolate and marshmallows and ate popcorn. The countdown to Christmas has started!
