Rocking all over the world!

Year 4 and the rest of the school have had a fantastic time with Jeff Rich (previous drummer of the famous band Status Quo). Jeff lead a masterclass for the school teaching the history of percussion instruments as well as techniques on how to play them. Here are some snap shots of our rocking morning.

Impressive Victorian presentations!

We have been creating presentations including lots of facts about The Victorians using PowerPoint, we used the Internet and books to research Queen Victoria, Victorian Schools, toys and homes. We have learnt to create slides including subheadings, bullet points, images and animations! We then presented them to the rest if the class!  

Meet the new Eco-Committee

Meet the new Eco – Committee! We are here to make sure our school is tidy, recycling waste appropriately and eco-friendly. Last half term we went round school, checking for certain things such as lights turned off, rubbish on the ground and if we have ways that children and adults can recycle their rubbish. Wacky Races in P.E.

Children have been participating in races during their P.E. lessons. Skills they are learning during P.E. Building up confidence to try things independently Learning that sometimes we win and sometimes we don’t win… and that’s ok! Listening to instructions Learning the rules of the games We can honestly say that we have some very competitive Oaks… including the members of staff in the room!
