Year 2 Create Fantastic Moving Monsters!

Year 2 have had an exciting time in Design and Technology completing the Moving Monsters unit. We learned how to use linkages and split pins to make different parts of our monsters move. After exploring how mechanisms work, we designed our own unique monsters and decided which features would move, such as mouths, arms and eyes. Using card, paper, scissors and split pins, we carefully built our monsters and tested them to make sure the Read more

Week 10 Science at home – Storm in a glass

Some children recently tried the “Storm in a Glass” experiment at home and had lots of fun learning about how rain forms in clouds. Using water, shaving cream, and food colouring, they created mini rainstorms inside a glass. The shaving cream acted like a cloud, holding the coloured water until it became too heavy and fell through like rain. This simple hands-on activity was a creative and exciting way to explore weather science at home. Read more

Computing Club
