Dogs Trust

Today we had a special guest. The dogs trust charity’s came in to work with us about how to be safe around dogs and how to teach others to be safe around dogs. Here are some pictures of our learning.

Year 3 Agents of Change

In year 3, we have been talking about the graffiti we found in our toilets. We were very disappointed to see this and wanted something to change. We made posters to encourage people not to graffiti on others property. We then asked Mrs Farrall if we could speak in assembly to make everyone aware of this problem.

Dogs trust

Thank you dogs trust for teaching us how to stay safe around dogs. We have been learning that dogs need to be happy and healthy just like us. With the help of Bob we practised some different rules for when we are around dogs: When a dog is sleeping we should leave a dog alone When a dog is eating we should leave a dog alone We should always stay quiet around dogs Dogs don’t Read more

Care home meeting

In our meetings this half-term, the school council decided they would like to do more to support our local community. David Hockney

Year 6 looked at how we can best analyse a famous painting. We looked at how artists tell stories or show feelings through their artwork. We interpreted the painting by trying to suggest its meaning, and looked closely to try and identify and notice small details, describing them after sketching.

Making Bread

This week we are reading ‘The Little Red Hen’. Today we made bread as a class. We spoke about the fact that we were all helping each other like the animals should have been doing in the story. We followed the recipe closely and took turns weighing out and adding ingredients. We all had a turn mixing and needing the dough.

Anti- Bullying Ambassadors Meeting

During our meeting today, the children decided we needed to make everyone aware of who the anti- bullying ambassadors are so that children can go to them for help. We created posters to put up in our classrooms. We also discussed things we could do in the playground like a friendship stop etc. Next session we will create a letter asking for some of the things we need to create our ideas.
