Today we visited the library again. We loved being able to look at all of the different books and spent a long time reading them carefully with our friends.

This week we’ve have been reading the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’. As a class we decided to help each other make some bread. We read the instructions and then followed them very carefully. After we baked the bread, we had a taste. It was delicious!

Maple have been investigating the shape of a persuasive letter this morning. We worked with our talk partners to identify the key features of a persuasive text. This afternoon Maple visited Heywood library. All the children were really eager to get to the library and choose a book. Before our visit we discussed favourite authors and topics that we were interested in. Once at the library, everyone was busy selecting a book to bring back to school. Read more…
