Some children from Year 5 Pine and Juniper have had the opportunity to work with Breaking Barriers, a Rochdale-based, multidisciplinary production company this morning. Year 5 Pine had their first forest school session of the half term today. We had the perfect weather for a fun afternoon of shelter building and den building. We worked on our team building skills and reintroduced the rules of the forest.
Pine have been learning how to link ideas across paragraphs using adverbials of time, place, number and tense choices. We read through a number of texts and identified the adverbials used, then we tried to order a story by identifying the adverbials.
