Forest school -Trust

We have been having lots of fun in forest school this week. We talked about our senses and went into the wild forest. We closed our eyes and thought about what we could hear in the forest. We then discussed trust and we put our trust in our partners to lead us to the fire circle whilst blindfolded. We had to dodge puddles, mud and trees. This week when we arrived at school we found fruit and vegetables trapped by the evil pea! He’d been in our classroom during the night causing mayhem! We all got to work drawing posters to warn off the evil pea and show the rest of the school what he looks like. Hopefully we Read more…

Who do I Trust?

This half term’s Christian value is trust. We looked at how the disciples trusted Jesus when he walked on water. We looked at who he trust the most in our lives and why. We drew around our hands and listed the 5 people we trusted the most.

Musical notes

On Wednesday afternoon, Juniper enjoyed listening to a song called Make You Feel My Love, originally by Bob Dylan and then re-recorded by Adele. They learnt some of the lyrics and had a go at singing along. In addition to this, they also played some notes from the song on the glockenspiel. Each week they will be learning more notes, until hopefully they can play the whole tune. Watch this space!

Shang dynasty

This half term we will be learning about the Shang Dynasty. We started our learning by going on an adventure to ancient China. We saw an ancient home, the ancient palace of the Emperor and the ancient barracks of the Great Wall of China. Here are some pictures of our learning.

Music 🎵

Bluebells are really enjoying their music sessions with Miss Taylor on a Friday afternoon. As we are learning about Superheroes this half term, we have been talking about our favourite superhero. We then sang superhero songs whilst practising our high and low notes. The children have enjoyed playing different musical instruments to play alongside a superhero theme tune. Everyone tried really hard to keep in time with the music.
