We have been working on our timetable skills. We have worked in teams to complete tasks which we needed to use our 3,4,6,8 times tables
This week Juniper have put together a performance of our African song, ‘Shosholoza’. They have used their voices and some African dance moves to produce an amazing final piece. All the children have done a great job in keeping in time with each other and being precise with their movements.
Year 1 had a fantastic time at the synagogue this morning. During our RE lessons, we have been learning about the Jewish faith. We have had so much fun this week and done some amazing exploring and investigating! Over the past couple of weeks, we have been focusing on art created from the inspiration of the Rainforest. first we created mood boards based on rainforest images. We have then use view finders to zoom in on features of different rainforest animals and creatures.
This week, Year 4 Hawthorn enjoyed their first forest school session. They went down to the forest school area and created flower bombs.
Juniper have worked so well today using a 3D modelling programme. They worked with 3D images, nets and templates to design a house and log cabin. Everyone thought carefully about what features would need to be included, and even made some ‘pattern fills’ to make the buildings look more realistic.
Year 2 had such a lovely time at church to learn more about Pentecost. We listened to the Easter story and then moved around church to complete different activities. We looked at the cross and how Jesus died for us then we made our own cross using lolly-sticks.
